After carefully selecting the best barrel of our French oak-aged St. Croix we then placed the wine on a 10 year old Bourbon Barrel from the Litchfield Distillery for several months. A fuller, smoother, more complex wine was born. This wine is the perfect blend of soft cherry and black pepper spice followed by a luxurious caramel, butterscotch and hints of bourbon on the finish.The 2014 Bourbon Barrel-Aged St. Croix is the first Connecticut estate-wine to be aged on a Bourbon Barrel.
